Maternity Bras for during your pregnancy
As your breasts grow during your pregnancy, you need to take care to ensure they are properly supported. As your breasts contain no muscle or sinew, all the support they need must be provided by your lingerie.
It might be time to try non-wired bras ....
I generally recommend that ladies switch to non-wired bras during pregnancy. Underwired bras give fantastic support and nicely shape the breast. However, the underwires, that provide most of the shaping, become a problem, as they are very "unforgiving" and do not cope well as the size and shape of the breasts change.
Non-wired bras (otherwise known as soft cup bras) still give great support, but do so it a more gentle way. As the support and shaping comes from the fabric and construction of the bra, they are better able to cope with changes in size and shape. Most importantly, they will stay comfortable for longer.
You should start to wear soft cup bras as soon as your normal bras start to feel a little snug, typically at about 12 weeks. Please do not wait until your old bras are uncomfortable as it is easy to damage the breast at this time.
I do sell one underwired maternity bra, but this has extremely soft underwires that will not press into the breast tissue.
